About the Middelhof
By train
You travel to the Dutch railway station of Swalmen (5 minutes from Roermond railway station and approx. 15 minutes from Venlo). Within a few minutes walking you arrive at the Middelhof.
Travelling by car from the North
- Follow the A 67 (when you are coming via Eindhoven) to Venlo
- Take the A 73 (when you from Nijmegen you are already on this road) to exit 18 ‘Reuver, Beesel, Swalmen’
- Take the third exit at the roundabout towards Swalmen. Continue straight on at the next roundabout, second exit.
- Continue along the N271 (attention, there is a radar trap when you enter Swalmen!) At the traffic lights in Swalmen turn right towards the centre.
- Continue along this road until you hit the level crossing. Turn immediately left after the level crossing (Name of the road: Parallelweg)
- At the T-junction at the end of the road you see Groenslaperij (Sleeping in the country) Middelhof right in front of you.
Travelling by car from the South
- Take the A2 and then the A73 until Roermond.
- Take exit 19 ‘Swalmen’
- Follow the signs for ‘Swalmen’
- You are now entering Swalmen via the N271
- At the third traffic-light controlled crossroad turn left towards the centre.
- Continue along this road until you hit the level crossing. Turn immediately left after the level crossing (Name of the road: Parallelweg)
- At the T-junction at the end of the road you see Groenslaperij (Sleeping in the country) Middelhof right in front of you.
