The surroundings
There are numerous day trip destinations, at an hour’s drive at the most. The towns of Roermond (5 km) and Venlo (15 km) are close by but also the province’s capital of Maastricht is only 45 minutes away. Shopping-fun can be found in the town of Roermond (Designer Outlet Centre, Retail Park, town centre).

Just think of the indoor amusement park Toverland (Magic Land) fun for all ages, the Gaia park zoo in Landgraaf, Snow World indoor-skiing, or the spectacular Phantasialand in Germany (approximately one hour’s drive). There are also nice activities catering for a smaller budget such as Irrland (Maze Country) a maize labyrinth where you have lots of fun for a few pennies!
